Abby was snatched from her mother's arms when an intruder came in held her at gunpoint then slashed her throat then left with Abby.

After an amber alert was issued someone recognized Abby due to the birthmark on her head. They confronted Shannon Torrez then called the police when the answer was not satisfactory. She was arrested and Abby was returned to her mother who was still recovering in hospital.

It is unknown as to what the sentencing was on this case.
